PERSONAL EFFECTIVENESS

Maximizing Effectiveness in the "Big Five" Workplace Success Challenges -The latest research suggests we share five innate abilities, having the potential in assisting our effectiveness in navigating our workplace environment.  Though we all have these abiltities, without knowing how and why we naturally respond to the "Big Five" workplace situations, we unknowlingly block our achievement as leaders, team members, or service providers.  Through a comprehensive online assessment, you will learn how to maximize your natural strengths to ensure workplace effectiveness. Through a series of engaging workshop exercises, you will better understand how the "Big Five" factors impact how we naturally React to External Demands, Build Working Relationships, Deal with Change & Complexity, Handle Diverse Viewpoints, and Orient Ourselves to Goals. The way in which we deal with these workplace challenges either help or hinder our effectiveness.

Maintaining Personal Productivity and Balance - This creative workshop helps you replace harmful, unproductive stress and replace it with a renewed sense of energy, purpose, effectiveness, and balance, allowing you to handle chaotic changes in your work life, while maintaining personal productivity and work life balance more effectively. 

Time Management: Planning, Organizing, Controlling Time Wasters - This interactive skills-based workshop is founded upon sound time management principles, including planning, organizing, goal setting, preventing time wasters, and much more. The principles and approaches learned are readily transferable to any other time planning tools, such as electronic and paper organizers. For those participants not having a time planner, a "Practice Time Planner" with customizeable forms is included free.  Additionally, you will increase your ability to use these tools more effectively in navigating the changes confronting you.

SELF-AWARENESS   

Understanding Me & My Team - Utilizing the "Myers-Briggs Type Indicator" and FIRO-B, increase your self-awareness and appreciation for others' style diversity to more effectively communicate, solve problems, and improve teamwork.

COMMUNICATING EFFECTIVELY

Presentation Skills Refresher - Practice the fundamental skills of platform delivery, structuring, visual design, and handling question and answer sessions. Videotaped practice and feedback is used extensively throughout this workshop to ensure effective skills development.

Essentials of Communication - This workshop is designed to improve the fundamental communication skills essential for every manager and employee in today's rapidly changing business environment. The workshop helps you to practice and implement the essential communication skills of presenting ideas, active listening, asking high gain questions, and giving/receiving feedback. Learn how to assemble these skills to better deliver your point, build relationships, resolve conflict, negotiate, and engage customers.

Effective Business Writing - This program helps participants develop and improve their business writing skills. Participants produce work-related documents, from the planning stage through final editing. Actual samples of business correspondence are assessed and improved upon within the workshop.

Effective Technical Writing (2 Days) - This program enhances your ability to handle technical information effectively in today's technology-driven organizations. Whether you are a technical expert, required to write to other experts or end-users, or you're a writer trying to bridge the gap between subject matter experts and non-experts, this workshop shows you how to use the building blocks of technical communication to create documents that effectively transmit the message. The workshop uses examples from real-work situations; participants receive hands-on experience planning, writing, revising, and editing the types of documents they actually use. This practical workshop uses a pre-test and post-test to ensure measured success.

BUILDING EFFECTIVE WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Developing Your Emotional Intelligence - Contemporary research is proving a direct correlation between personal effectiveness and "EQ", or Emotional Quotient, the emotional equivalent of "IQ". In this workshop, you will assess your own "Emotional Quotient", interpret your own strengths and improvements, and develop actions both in and outside the workshop. With the help of the workshop resources and facilitator, you will have several activities and actions to choose among, which over time, will build your "EQ". You will leave with the foundational elements of a plan which best develops your "EQ", ensuring overall leadership and interpersonal balance and effectiveness.

Fundamentals of Negotiation - Negotiation is a process in which, two or more parties, with common and conflicting interests, must come together with the intention to put forth and discuss explicit proposals for the purpose of reaching agreement. This definition forms the basis of the workshop objectives and agenda. In this workshop, the fundamentals of successful negotiation are explored.  Effective planning, stage setting, positioning, exploring, and contracting within the negotiation process are discussed and practiced. Additionally, in this highly interactive workshop, effective negotiation strategies, tactics, and counter tactics are practiced.


Managing Conflict - Learn processes and several techniques to best work through conflict, use your own conflict style more effectively, prevent unhealthy conflict, and choose when to resolve it or simply control it.

Surviving The Jungle of Difficult People - We've all dealt with them. They zap our energy and focus from our work and our teams. To survive this jungle, we will learn to better analyze, strategize, and ultimately manage 25 difficult people types. This workshop is a natural complement to Managing Conflict.

CHANGE & INNOVATION

The Change Advocate - Effective leaders and employees don't just "respond to change"; they "advocate change"!  Learn how truly successful people in organizations anticipate and embrace chaotic change as the norm today, and effectively "navigate the white water". You will learn how to anticipate organizational change, understand it, lead it, manage it and move through both organizational and personal change more effectively.

Innovative Problem Solving & Decision Making  - Everyone struggles from time to time from analysis paralysis, action anxiety, or the dreaded "this old meeting." Achieve innovation by harnessing the idea power and synergy of all team members without feeling stuck in the same old ineffective team processes.  In this workshop, you will learn interactive, creative, timesaving tools and techniques for quickly and actively solving problems, analyzing solutions, and deciding best course of action. Over fifteen tools are learned and practiced using real work examples to ensure mastery in their implementation.
