Bob Kagan
Bob Kagan earned his Master's Degree from Syracuse University, specializing
in broadcasting and communications. He has worked in the production
of television news at commercial TV stations for four years. Additionally,
he has eight years of experience as a government public affairs officer.
During that time, Mr. Kagan organized press conferences as well print and
broadcast interviews for elected and appointed officials. Mr. Kagan
had responsibility preparing background information, developing talking
points, coaching officials in their presentation of material and handling
questions and answers.
For the past ten years, Mr. Kagan has been both a Professor of Communications
and a corporate trainer in the Hartford area. Teaching in the Communication
Departments at both Manchester Community College and Central Connecticut
State University, Mr. Kagan specializes in broadcast journalism, public
relations and effective speaking courses. As a trainer, he has worked
with hundreds of managers and executives, helping them hone their communication
skills. He facilitates seminars in public speaking, fundamentals
of communication and conflict resolution. His seminars are all based
on a philosophy of "learning by doing" and mix instruction with individual
and group projects that incorporate video feedback.
